An image can be more than a representation: it can be a portal. A threshold into what is subtle, vibrational, and unseen. Since embracing chemical photography, I have come to understand that film holds the power to reveal what often escapes perception.
My practice is a form of channeling. I work with manual, experimental, and alternative photo-chemical processes, merging them with intuition, meditation, and esoteric knowledge. Each image is the trace of a sacred exchange between matter and energy.
Clara ‘Haluro’ reflects the essence of this path: “halide” is the light-sensitive crystal that makes photography possible. Like film we are crystalline bodies, fractal expressions of light, shaped by frequency, energy, and vibration. My work explores this energetic resonance between image and observer, aiming to activate forgotten aspects of our human potential.
I’m drawn to what happens when I intervene my photographs with my own hands applying experimental techniques that reveal what our eyes cannot see. Often, these images begin as captures of daily life and nature, but their true essence emerges in the process: beings, colors, and textures manifest on the final piece, unveiling the subtle energies that surround us. This alchemical transformation makes visible the invisible, inviting deeper perception beyond the surface. Photography, for me, is both ritual and research. I see myself not only as a maker but as a vessel.
These images arise from questions rather than offer answers, they aim to cause reconnection with the subtile, the inner, and the divine consciousness awakening within us all.
